Anyone new to Macs should buy this book. It's easy to dip in and out of to find immediate answers to a problem. By doing a little bit of reading I solved a computer/printer issue - Apple were unable to do this, as were Hewlett Packard. So well done The Missing Manual Team.

As expected, a great book. I had no computer experience and this publication led me through the most important aspects of snow leopard to give me a perfect base for getting started. As Bob says, the book cannot tell you everything, it'd have to be a foot thick, but for those starting out i couldn't recommend it enough.

After years on Windows, I took the plunge and invested in the awesome Macbook. The problem was, it was like starting from scratch and having to learn a completely new way of working and surfing. There were several things I needed to know straight away and this book came up with the solutions I needed within minutes. It'll get you kick-started in the right direction and become an invaluble tool for future referance.
